Fed Cup: Dolphins Pounce On Tornadoes
Dolphins FC will stake a claim for a quarter final place in the Federation Cup in Ado Ekiti today against Niger Tornadoes Feeders.
Dolphins have not had a good run in the league, finishing the first round in 19th place but defender, Victor Ezuruike says they will not take the game in Ado-Ekiti lightly.
“It’s a game we have to win,” Ezuruike said.
“We know they are an amateur side but their track record in the competition shows they knocked out Wikki Tourist in the Round of 32 so we will stay focused to make it to the quarter finals,” Ezuruike said.
Midfielder, Onyekachi Akakem shares Ezuruike’s views on the game.
Akakem says they have put behind the loss in Makurdi against Nasarawa United and are very focused on this one.
“We have to win. We really have no excuse not to win this one against Tornadoes Feeders,” Akakem said.
“We have resolved to go all out for this one after that unfortunate loss to Nasarawa United last week. We wouldn’t want them to upset us,” he said.
