Youth Leader Makes Case For Peterside
Rivers State Vice
Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Hon. Imie Benson has called on Andoni elders and youths to shun sentiments and work for the election of Dr. Dakuku Peterside as Governor of the state.
Speaking in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt, Hon. Benson who is also the representative of Rivers South East in the Council said that the Andonis must free themselves from the cabal which had held them hostage since 1999 by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in all the elections.
He said that those who had marginalised the people in terms of projects execution and empowerment, since 1999 were devising various means to poison the minds of the people against the governorship ambition of Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside.
He listed some projects executed by Dr. Dakuku Peterside in Andoni during his tenure as Commissioner for Works and member Federal House of Representatives to include; the Egbormung shore protection, Oronija Jetty and water project, the Unyeada Bridge and the various overseas scholarship Awards being enjoyed by Andoni sons and daughters.
Hon. Benson said that the youths of Andoni had decided to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the forth-coming elections to bring development to the area.
