FG Slashes Petrol Price To N87
The Federal Government has slashed the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise called Petrol to N87 per litre.
Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, who announced the reduction from N97 to N87 per litre, last night, said the new pump price took effect from 12.00, today.
This means that from today, PMS will sell for N87 per litre.
The minister directed all fuel stations and the regulatory authorities to effect the change of price immediately.
It would be recalled that the government increased the pump price of petrol to N97 per litre in January, 2012.
