1,410 Imported Vehicles Arrive Nigeria
A total of 1,410 units
of new and fairly used vehicles were shipped into Nigeria through Port and Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML), Lagos last week.
The vehicles, according to The Tide source, arrived in the much-talked about MV Grande Lagos, owned by Grimaldi Line, which is also the largest Roll on Roll Off (RORO) vessel ever to arrive at the Port.
The source further said the maiden voyage of the largest car carrier, which measures 236 metres length and a 38 metres breadth made the facilities at the terminal to be expanded for the vessel to berth.
It was gathered that the vessel had since left the PTML after the two-days discharge of the vehicles and other containers.
Meanwhile, some Nigerians have been commenting over the increasing importation of fairly used vehicles into the country despite the newly introduced auto policy.
