IYM Boss Urges Ikwerre Women To Support Amaechi
Women across four
Ikwerre speaking local government areas have been told not to waiver in their support for the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
The chairman of Ikwerre Youth Movement (IYM) Emohua Chapter and Board Member I of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education (UBE), Hon Lucky Worluh, gave the advice during the inauguration of the Rundele chapter of the forum last Saturday.
Describing women as constituting an important segment, Worluh said that their support to the present administration was necessary to enable the administration succeed.
He also urged the women to monitor the activities of their children and wards especially now that politics is around the corner and advised youths to be mindful of persons whose aim is to use them to achieve their selfish ends.
Hon Worluh also used the occasion to commend the Rivers State Governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sampson Parker for tackling the dreaded Ebola virus headlong and assured the women of the association’s support.
In her welcome address, Lady (Mrs) Lucy Agbaru, welcomed the forum to Rundele and described the inauguration as unique in the history of Rundele’s community.
Lady (Mrs) Agbaru also commended the state governor for giving Rivers women a pride of place in his administration.
In her acceptance speech, the President of Rundele Wing of Ikwerre Women Forum (IWF), Egbo Rose, urged the women to live up to expectation and thanked Hon. Worluh for finding her worthy to lead the women in the community.
