PTML Customs Nets N10.5 bn In June
The Port Terminal
Multipurpose Limited (PTML) command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) under Comptroller Adegoke Folorunsho has generated the sum of (N10.5 bn) into the coffers of the federal government in the month of June alone, the highest in the history of the command.
If the favourable trend continues, it is expected that PTML Customs Command will make about N101.1 billion by the end of the year.
A breakdown of the figure revealed that the out-going Controller, Controller Tunji Aremu between the months of January to May generated the sum of N24billion into federation account, bringing the total amount generated in the first six months to N34.247 billion.
Controller Adegoke, a chartered accountant, has promised to surpass, the record of his predecessor at the command.

Compt. Adekgoke reiterated his early warning that fraudulent agents will continue to face direct consequences because his command will always resist any attempt made by fraudsters.
Besides the regular meeting with stakeholders in the Maritime Industry, to enhance efficiency in cargo handling at the PTML terminal, Compt. Folournsho’s moral boosting measures have helped to encourage professional efficiency and dynamism since he became the custom helmsman at the PTML terminal.
Before coming to serve at PTML in June this year, the PTML custom boss had served at Muritala Mohammed International Airport Command, Port Harcourt Area II Onne Port, Tincan Island Port, Custom headquarters Abuja, PAAR Units.
Meanwhile, the command spokesman, Mr. Steve Okonmah (CSC), told our correspondent that Compt. Folorunsho, Former Assistant Project Manager, knew all the antics of a fraudulent agent, adding, that with his wealth of experience on the job, he has made the command uncomfortable for dubious agents and their importers.
