Customs Hold Ebola Sensitisation Parade ’Morrow
As part of the effort to create more awareness on the dreaded Ebola disease, the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Port Harcourt Area 1 Command, Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) will tomorrow hold special monthly parade and sensitisation programme.
The Tide correspondent gathered that the parade which will take place at the Command Parade Ground is mandatory for all officers and men of the Command.
In a statement signed by the Staff Officer of the Command, Azuibike Blessing Nwankwo for the Deputy Controller, Enforcement said absentees will be severely punished.
Officers and men are expected to attend the sensitization parade including those at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Bayelsa and Ahoada out stations.
Participants would be sensitised on Ebola virus disease, its symptoms, preventive measures since there is no known cure, adding that phone numbers to call for help in the case of suspect would also be made known to the officers.
