Weli, who expressed worry over the effect of industrial waste as generated by the industries said the facility would not only reduce the effect on the people but restore the neatness and cleanliness that the state was known for.
The commissioner revealed that the project would be executed through Public Private Partnership (PPP) and appealed for the financial and technological support from the NLNG to make the waste management project a success.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr Adeniran Fadeyibi said the body was on a familiarization tour to the ministry to get abreast with the activities of the ministry as to working out modalities on partnership for the overall industrial safety of the state’s environment.
On the forthcoming World Environment Day, Fadeyibi pledged the NLNG’s Partnership with the ministry adding that its activities would be in consonance with that of the ministry in ensuring that the aims and objectives of the Day’s Celebration was realized in the state.
