US Safety Official Arrives Nigeria For Airports Assessment
The American Transport-
ation Safety Administ-ration’s Attache for Central and West Africa, Ms Loretta Mcneir, has arrived Nigeria for a three-day working visit.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy General Manager, Media, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr Sam Aduroboye and made available to newsmen in Lagos last Tuesday.
According to the statement, Mcneir’s visit is a follow-up assessment on the security audit of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) and the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, carried out in December 2013.
It stated that Mcneir, currently based in Dakar-Senegal, on Monday, commenced the assessment with the inspection of facilities at the MMIA in company of NCAA aviation security officials.
“Ms Mcneir is scheduled to meet with the Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Engr. Saleh Dunoma, before proceeding to Abuja to inspect the the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport,’’ the statement said.
