ISS Scores Gov Amaechi High On Dev
The Institute of Security Studies, Abuja, has scored Governor Chibuike Amaechi high on administration and infrastructure development.
Leader of ISS on Executive Intelligence Course and tour of Rivers State, Barrister Adebayo Babalola at a banquet held in their honour at the weekend in Government House, Port Harcourt, said the state is far above others in growth.
Barrister Babalola said, “we have gone out and we have seen the things that have been happening in Rivers State. And this state is special”.
The ISS Course leader described the state as a huge construction site, “it’s a state in a hurry, and I am surprised that the state is in a hurry”.
Babalola also praised the vision of Governor Amaechi in transforming Rivers State, saying, “the type of administration in the state is exceptional compared with other states.
The lawyer attributed Amaechi’s success to his humble and humane approach to governance coupled with his closeness to God.
Earlier in his remarks, Secretary to the State Government and representative of Governor Amaechi at the occasion, Mr George Feyii commended the course members for choosing Rivers State as their subject of study.
Feyii praised them for their patience and for being able to visit the various project sites, which according to him, had transformed the environment.
He, however, urged them to also take time out and visit the night clubs to assess the city, positing that, night life is a testimony that Rivers State now has an atmosphere of peace and warmth.
The Secretary to the State Government wished the group well and journey mercies as they go back after their three day study and sojourn in the state.
