NUC Inaugurates Federal Varsities Governing Councils, ’Morrow
All is now set for the inauguration of the new Governing Councils of the Federal Universities across the country billed to hold tomorrow.
A statement signed by the Executive Secretary of National Universities Commission, Prof Julius Okojie, said the event would hold at Idris Abdulkadir Auditorium NUC, Abuja by 10.00am prompt.
The statement said the 105 newly appointed members of the 21 Federal Universities Governing Councils across the nation should endeavour to attend the event which would be inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai.
According to the statement, Vice Chancellors are expected to arrange for the inaugural meetings of their various councils immediately after the inauguration ceremony. Each council has a Chairman and four members.
