Tourism DG Buries Mum, Weekend
The remains of Madam Elsie
Iyenginabaibo Abel Dede, mother of the Director-General, Rivers State Tourism
Development Board, Dr Sam Dede will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 24,
2012, at Ogbodo, in Okrika Local Government Area.
Dr Dede, in a statement said his mother
passed on to the Lord on October 30, 2012 after a brief illness.
He described her as a virtuous woman,
philanthropist, community leader and business mogul, adding that she was a
force to reckon with in all facets of life.
According to him, there will be service
of songs at Port Harcourt Civic Centre, Moscow Road on Thursday, November 22,
2012 at 7p.m while commendation service will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral,
Okrika on Saturday, November 24, followed by interment.
He also stated that the thanksgiving service would take place at St.
Peter’s Cathedral, Okrika, on Sunday, November 26, 2012.
