Miss Earth Accuses Organisers Of Breach Of Contract

Miss Earth Nigeria, 2011, Munachi Uzoma Chinenye, has accused AMC Productions Limited, organisers of Miss Earth Nigeria Pageant of breach of contract and failure to pay her cash prize of one million naira as well as their refusal to release her brand new car as part of her package for winning the coveted crown in 2011.

The beauty queen who disclosed this to the press in Port Harcourt recently, alleged that the organisers were in the habit of breaching their terms of contract with the eventual winners of the crown. She noted that at the end of the pageant they usually collected the crown, the star prize and other entitlements and went underground.

Munachi who disclosed that some of her predecessors also suffered similar treatment in the hands of the organsiers, called on the federal, state and local governments to stop AMC productions from organising future Miss Earth Nigeria Pageant because of their ‘419’ activities and to prevent other innocent young ladies from falling victims to the gimmicks of the so called organisers.

It was however, gathered that Miss Munachi had filled a suit against the organisers in a Port Harcourt High Court, with the suit no PHC/1916/2012 came up for hearing on Tuesday 6th November, 2012 where the counsel to the claimant, Barr Ndatigh prayed the court to prevail on AMC production Limited to stop selling the form for the 2012 edition of the pageant which was currently circulating in the country pending the court ruling on the present matter.

The counsel to the defendant Barr O. C Higher King pleaded for more time to study the matter before reacting to it. The presiding judge, Hon Justice Enebeli adjourned the matter to 16th November 2012.
