Anucha To Push For GL17 For Directors
The Head of the Civil Service of Rivers State, Mrs Esther Anaucha has assured civil servants in the state that she would do everything to ensure the adoption of Grade Level 17 for all directors in Rivers State as a parting gift before leaving the service in September this year.
Mrs Anucha who was speaking at the maiden lecture for top management functionaries, after a thanksgiving service at the Righteous International Ministries, Port Harcourt, yesterday said that she wished to give as parting gift some of the demands in the service by working towards their actualisation.
The head of service affirmed that Governor Chibuike Amaechi is very passionate about the civil service and would not hesitate to approve anything that would make for greater productivity in the service
On her retirement, Mrs Anucha said she would be leaving the service a happier and more fulfilled woman because she would be retiring from the service better than she met it and used the opportunity to thank all members of the service for the support given to her and asked that the same be extended to her successor, who she believes would have a firm grip on the baton.
In the lecture titled ‘Imbibing the core values of the public service for effective service delivery a former permanent Secretary in Rivers State, Chief J.E.Amadi said effective service delivery must be anchored on the highest standard of public morality.
