State, has expelled 59 students for examination malpractice and certificate forgery, its Rector, Dr. Phillipa Idogho has said.
Idogho told newsmen that the exercise was on-going and the institution was on course to stamp out all forms of malpractice.
“This exercise is not only a one-stop thing, that is why we always ensure that students are adequately prepared for their examinations and in return, we expect that they conduct themselves by not engaging in examination malpractice.
“We are also looking out for those who used forged certificates in gaining admission into the institution.
“We will continue to carry out certificate verification and like we have always done, anyone caught will be shown the way out and probably get prosecuted for forgery.”
The rector also said that any member of staff who made “certain demands” to grade students, would be sanctioned.
