Nigeria Meets Rwanda In ANC Qualifiers For 2013
Nigeria has been drawn against Rwanda in the preliminary round of the qualifiers for the 2013 African Nations Cup.
Two rounds of matches will be played to reach the tournament, and teams which failed to qualify for the 2012 edition will have to negotiate one extra round of qualifiers.
Hosts South Africa qualify automatically.
With the Super Eagles failing to qualify for the 2012 edition, the country joins 45 other teams which will have to play an additional round of games.
The 16 teams that qualified for the 2012 edition get an automatic bye from the first two rounds and enter directly in the final round of qualifiers that begins after next year’s tournament.
The Draw was conducted at the weekend by the sub-committee of the Africa Cup of Nations organising committee in Malabo.
The matches are to be played in the first half of 2012 with exact dates to be communicated later.

Poor welfare forced me to dump Delta for Enugu, says world – Nwachukwu
The sudden departure of Nwachukwu, a multiple gold medallist, from Team Delta to the Coal City, Enugu , sparked controversy within the sports family, with officials of Delta State Sports Commission accusing the president of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria, Sunday Odebode, of manipulating the system for the athlete to dump the state.
But Nwachukwu, who broke the World Record to win a gold medal for Team Nigeria in the Women’s Discus F42 event at the just-concluded Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, has cleared the air on the circumstances that led to her movement to Enugu State.
Speaking with The Tidesports source report, shortly after winning the gold medal, Nwachukwu said: “It is not true that anybody aided my movement from Delta State to Enugu. Rather, it was Delta State that forced me to leave because of poor remuneration.
