Ex-Immigration Boss Tasks Youths On Hardwork
The former Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Sir Igoni William Park has stressed the need for Rivers youths particularly Opobo Kingdom to work hard in order to excel in all spheres of human endeavour.
Sir Park who made the call when members of Alabo Jim Wariso War Canoe House, Port Harcourt branch organised a reception in his honour last Sunday said that they could achieve this by cultivating the virtues of dedication, truthfulness and peaceful disposition at all times.
He used the opportunity to X-ray his days in the Immigration Service and expressed gratitude to God for a fruitful and fulfilled service to the nation and promised to devote his retirement period to continue to render selfless service to the people.
Earlier, the Chairman of the group, Senibo Rogers Wariso said that the reception was in appreciation of Sir Park’s efforts in uplifiting Opobo Kingdom through employment of youths and also retirement from Immigration Service without blemish.
Also speaking, Alabo Rollingson George-Cookey described Sir Park as a diligent and honest man which enabled him to rise to the peak of his career.
The National Chairman of Alabo Jim Wariso War Canoe House, Warisenibo Andy Wariso noted that Sir Park is a worthy ambassador and shinning example for the youths of the area to emulate.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of Reception Planning Committee, Mr. Biedima Wariso explained that the group was humbled by the achievements of Sir Park in his profession and upliftment of Opobo Kigndom while thanking those who made the occasion memorable.
