Zuru Youths Commend Senator For Sports Dev
The youths in the Zuru Emirate of Kebbi have lauded Sen Mamman Magoro (Kebbi South) for the donation of N200,000 for the development of sports in the area.
Abubakar Kalos, the spokesman for the youths, told newsmen in Kebbi that Magoro had pledged his commitment to the sponsorship of age-grade football competition in the emirate.
“The senator also promised to ensure that sports was made a fundamental aspect of youth development through the sponsorship of competitions among schools, villages and at ward level,” he said.
An official of the Zuru Football Club, Mu’azu Bello, said the donation would be prudently managed for the discovery of talents who would represent the state at national and international competitions.
“We hope other functionaries will contribute to the development of youths by sponsoring competitions, especially considering the advantage of sports to national unity,” he said.
