Taekwondo Referees To Hold Seminar
The Nigeria Taekwondo Referees Association (NTRA) has concluded plans to hold a seminar for its members from next week in Benin.
According to the president of the NTRA, Ferguson Oluigbo, the aim of the seminar was to prepare members of the body for the forthcoming 17th National Sports Festival billed to take place in Port Harcourt.
He continued that the objective of the seminar was to impact the knowledge gained during an international referee course to enhance the sports in the area of officiating.
“I was privileged to be at that seminar where some new rules were introduced to the game of Taekwando and I hope that this seminar will not only teach our athletes but will also help the referees to keep abreast with the rules,” he said.
He explained that both video clips and updated handbhook which were given to participant at the International NGTRA seminar in Mali would be passed onto members at the Benin seminar come October 28-30th, 2010.
It would be recalled that the President of the NTRA was among those who went to Mali for an International Referee course in September this year.
