KFN Targets Gold Medals At 2011 All Africa Games
The Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) has fashioned out strategies to win gold medals at the 2011 All Africa Games in Mozambique, an official of the federation has said.
The Technical Director of the federation, Dave Jegede, told newsmen in Lagos that its long time objective was to win gold at the tournament.
He said the technical committee had been working hard to ensure that a formidable team was presented for the games.
Jegede also said the committee would work on equipment and kitting for national team members, and evaluate the athletes’ performance at UFAK Zone 3 championships in Niamey.
He also disclosed that the committee was planning a two-week training tour of Algeria in June for the national team.
According to him, plans are also on to attend the UFAK African Senior Championship in Cape Town, South Africa, in August.
