Quadri Seeks Support To Improve Career
The 2014 International
Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Player of the Year Aruna Quadri, has appealed to corporate bodies to support him to improve his career in 2015.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos.
Quadri, who is the highest ranked African player in the world according to ITTF ratings, said that it was only through adequate support that he could remain on top of his game.
“I’m using this platform to appeal to corporate bodies in the telecommunications and other sectors to come to my aid.
“I’m looking forward to Globacom, MTN, Etisalat and Airtel of this world for me to continue to increase my profile in the sport.
“Their support will enable me to attend more competitions in 2015,’’ the statement said.
It said the player was able to attain his present status due to personal effort and support from, Wahid Oshodi, the President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation.
It also said that the player had prospects of performing creditably in major international competitions with the backing of Nigerians.
