Rangers Bank On Home Matches In New Session
As the Globacom
Premier League kicks off nationwide this weekend, Rangers International FC of Enugu has assured its fans of winning all its home matches and some at away.
The club’s spokesman, Forster Chime, told newsmen in Enugu that the wins would ensure that the club lifted the 2013/2014 league shield.
“Well, we are going to make sure we grab all our home points and pick some on the road.
“At the end of the season, this will complement our effort with the league’s trophy.
“We are battle-ready for the season, going by the pre-season matches we played. We are going to do well.
“If not that it is too early to talk about winning the league trophy, I would have told you that we are going to lift the trophy,’’ he added.
The spokesman also assured their fans of outright victory over Nembe City in week one of the competition.
According to him, the club’s pre-occupation now is the match’s maximum three points.
Chime said that the match, scheduled for 6.15 p.m. would be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
He urged the club’s lovers to troop en masse to the stadium to cheer the team.
The spokesman noted that the match would not affect their working hours since it will be played in the evening.
