Unregistered Freight Forwarders To Go – Aniebonam
The founder of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Boniface Aniebonam, says some small freight forwarder associations would soon fizzle out.
Aniebonam who made the observation at a forum in Lagos said that competition would bring out the best in the forwarder groups since it was constitutional for people to freely associate.
“You do not fight a war you cannot win. “Allow competition to go on and those who cannot stand the test of time will fizzle out.
“If you talk about credibility, you will be looking at NAGAFF and the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA),’’ he told newsmen.
Aniebonam said that some freight forwarder associations were already withering, adding that the Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarders in Nigeria had registered some associations, like NAGAFF, ANLCA and others.
Aniebonam said that only associations that met the required standards would be recognised by CRFFN.
