…Games’ll Hold On Schedule – Semenitari
The Rivers State government is on course to host the national sports festival tagged Garden City games in November, as scheduled.
The chairman of the publicity sub-committee of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and Commissioner for Information and Communication Ibim Semenitari gave the assurance in an interview monitored in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
She said there was no plan to shift the date of festival as efforts were geared towards hosting a successful sports festival.
The commissioner stated that the chairman of the LOC and all those concerned have been on air talking about the commitment of government towards hosting the fiesta.
Seminitari stated that very soon billboards would be erected at strategic parts of the city to mobilise Rivers people towards the games.
“We would soon place billboards and the games mascot in strategic parts of the city to mobilise the people on the upcoming event. Beyond this, a hot publicity is being carried out on air and in the print media on that”, she stated.
