Federation Cup: Sunshine Lucky To Beat Niger Tornadoes – Coach Ogbeide
The Chief Coach of Sunshine FC, of Akure, Chief Solomon Ogbeide has admitted that Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, played better than his team, despite the fact that they won with a lone goal and sailed to the semi-final of the 2010 Federation Cup.
Ogbeide made this declaration in a post-match briefing, at the Sharks Football Stadium, on Wednesday, in Port Harcourt, shortly after the quarter final match with the Minna team.
According to Ogbeide, there are three things that can happen in a match, either you win, draw or lose and noted that they more lucky to have gotten the best of the three.
“Not that we were the better side, I believed God just gave it to us”, he said.
The chief coach continued that he is an optimist and believed that in any difficult situation there is always an opportunity.
“Every coach’s aspiration is to do well and win a match”.
Reacting to the red cards given to his players, Ogbeide who was former chief coach of Sharks FC, said it was nothing to comment about because the referee interpreted the laws of the game and that he did not know better than him.
“The referee did his job, I don’t have any thing to comment on because he merely interpreted the laws of the game and I don’t know better than him”, Ogbeide said.
The ex-Sharks coach further expressed optimism that his team would secure a continental ticket for next season.
Also speaking, Technical adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Ladan Bosso said that the game was good even though he lost the match.
