Traders Union Election: Woman Leader Exonerates Opara
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) woman leader and trader in the Mile 3 Market, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Mercy Orlu has exonerated former deputy speaker, House of Representatives and PDP Chieftain, Rt Honourable Austin Opara from the rift in the market union which led to the suspension of its election, recently.
The PDP woman leader told newsmen in an interview in Port Harcourt that it was unthinkable for anyone to make such insinuation that Austin Opara an highly respected man of repute would descend so low to involve in the politics of the local market union.
She advised those dragging the name of Austin Opara to the mud as it concerns the Mile 3 market elections to desist forthwith.
Her words: I want to use this medium to dissociate our political leader, Rt Honourable Austin Opara from the politics of Mile 3 market union elections.
Austin Opara, is one of the leaders of our party (PDP) in the state and has no hand whatsoever in the elections of union leaders in the Mile 3 Market”.
“It will be very unthinkable for anyone to insinuate that Rt Honourable Austin Opara, our representative would be little himself, to have interest in ordinary Mile 3 Market union elections”.
I therefore, would advise those dragging the name of Rt Honourable Austin Opara to desist forthwith in their own interest”, she stressed.
