Workers Salary: CTC Boss Promises Prompt Payment
Workers of Ikwerre Local
Government Council have been assured of regular payment of their salaries and other entitlements.
The Care-Taker Committee Chairman of the council, Mr. Eloka Tasie-Amadi gave the assurance during his familiarisation tour of the council’s headquarters, Isiokpo last Friday.
He said May salaries would be paid soon in a bid to encourage the workers.
Tasie-Amadi, noted that he intended leaving behind such legacies that could reshape the responsibility of the people.
The Kelga CTC boss also said that the improvement of the standard of living of the people was paramount in his scheme of things.
Further, he has called for co-operation among the staff in order to strengthen his determination to impact positively on the lives of the people.
Relatively, he intimated on the importance of creating an enabling environment for all in his council, saying that his government would not victimise anyone.
In his reaction, the chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Kelga branch, Comrade Iche ThankGod, appealed to the chairman to consider the provision of accommodation for the staff.
He said the accommodation, upon provision, would ensure effective work at the council.
ThankGod, who also thanked his boss for his promise to alleviate the plights of the staff, assured him of the needed co-operation to move the council forward.
