RSG Partners Wigwe University, Offers Scholarship To 100 Students
The Rivers State Government, in conjunction with the management of Wigwe University, has announced the award of scholarship for 100 students offered provisional admission to study various courses in the university, as part of their support for the institution as it officially opens for academic and non-academic activities at the campus in Isiokpo.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who made the announcement during the official opening ceremony of the university for the 2024/2025 academic session held at the conference hall of the school in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, said 70 percent of the scholarship goes to indigenes while 30 percent is for non-indigenes residing in the State. Represented by the Commissioner for Education, Dr Ovy Chinedum Chukwuma, the Governor said commencement of the Wigwe University is a plus to the education sector in the State.
