Western Marine Command Customs Gets New Boss
In a renewed commitment to operational efficiency through the establishment of a fresh framework for optimum manpower utilisation, the management of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has redeployed some Area Controllers of the Service.
Comptroller PK Bamisaiye, on Tuesday, resumed as the new Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Western Marine Command.
In a brief handing over ceremony, the outgoing Controller, Comptroller O.A. Salefu, lauded the officers and men of the Command while he held sway as the helmsman for their cooperation during his time in office.
In a statement by Superintendent of Customs (SC), Malafiya Magaji, Public Relations Officer of the Command, Comptroller Salefu charged the officers to extend same hand of fellowship to the new Controller..
He said “change in leadership and life is constant and inevitable”, saying that as his tenor comes to an end in Western Marine Command, he prayed that “God Almighty continue to guide the new leadership”.
On his part, the new Controller who has worked in various Customs formations of the NCS thanked the outgoing CAC and the Management team of the Service for the confidence reposed in him.
“Comptroller Bamisaiye, who has worked in various Customs formations of Nigeria Customs Service Administration brings a rich operational expertise to his new position.
“Before his promotion to the rank of Comptroller and his present appointment, he served as Scanner Manager at PTML Area Command, and was also a Provost Marshall, Customs Police Unit, at NCS headquarters, Abuja”.
The New CAC, while taking over the reigns of Western Marine Command, responded by thanking the outgoing CAC for the skillful way he led at the Command and wished him the best as he moves on to his new assignment.
He concluded by thanking the Comptroller General and his management team for the faith reposed on him and promised to execute his responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
