NEPC Boss Is A Goal-Getter – PHCCIMA President
The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Eze Mike Elechi, has described the out-going Regional Manager of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), South South Zone, Sir Joe Ittah, as a goal-getter with high business acumen.
Elechi made the remark at a stakeholders’ forum and lunch organised by NEPC in Port Harcourt, recently.
Elechi noted that Ittah contributed in no little measure towards the success of the agency and added that he was the brain behind the One-Stop-Shop initiative of the organisation.
According to him, the One-Stop-Shop idea brought together all Federal Government agencies and other corporate organisations to network Businesses and services under the watch of PHCCIMA.
The PHCCIMA Head, who also is the Chairman of Rivers State Productivity Committee, stated that the NEPC boss was full of ideas, saying he will be greatly missed.
He urged Ittah’s successor to emulate him and put the same vigour in practice in order to enable NEPC maintain its standard and value.
On the conferment of Honorary member of PHCCIMA on Ittah, Elechi explained that it was a parting gift in recognition of his “lofty ideas and contributions”.
In his response, the out-going South South Regional Manager of NEPC expressed joy over the honour done him by his friends, and revealed that he was determined to achieve success.
In his speech, the new Regional Manager of NEPC, South South Zone, Mr. Ganiyu Ahmed, said he needed no prophet to tell him that his successor has done well, and that the stakeholder meeting has given him the opportunity to meet the people that matter in the industry.
Ahmed noted that NEPC was primarily charged with the responsibility of promoting the non-oil sector, hence his appeal to his staff and all the stakeholders in the sector to rally round him to also enable him succeed.
