PUMS Admits 149 Students For 2021/2022 Academic Year
About 149 students have been admitted by PAMO University of Medical Sciences for the 2021/2022 academic year.
A member of the sub-committee for publicity and publication, PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Mr Obika Marcus, who disclosed this in a telephone interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt said out of the 149 admitted into the university, 145 have resumed.
Marcus, who spoke against the backdrop of the forthcoming orientation programme for the fresh students, said the institution is known for its high academic standard.
He said the university does not tolerate any form of indiscipline, adding that in PAMO University of Medical Sciences, discipline is the core value of the institution.
Marcus said the orientation is to inculcate in the fresh students, reasons for the establishment of the institution and what is expected of them as students.
He said that as a mono-disciplinary institution, the students need to be enlightened on why they are there and what is expected of them.
Marcus said the orientation will feature various topical issues to be handled by different resource persons after which the students will be taken round the campus of the university.
