Recovered Ammunition: Rivers CP Hails Wike Over Support
Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura, has commended the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike for his undaunted support in delivering security to the state.
Dandaura made the commendation at the occasion of the presentation of recent achievements of the Operation Sting security outfit alongside the inspection of arms and ammunition recovered from a kidnap syndicate in Port Harcourt, Monday.
Dandaura maintained that it has been the unflinching support of the Rivers State government that aided the achievements of the Operation Sting in the state.
The Police Commissioner stated that the Operation Sting, an initiative of the state government has helped to sanitise the East-West road and Elele-Owerri road which hitherto had been troublesome routes for residents, commuters and travelers.
While assuring that the police in the state would not relent in efforts of protecting lives and property in the state, Dandaura urged residents to partner with the security agencies to achieve success in the fight against crime, making the state a safe place for residents and visitors.
Speaking, Governor Wike expressed hopes that the police through the operation sting outfit would soon apprehend and prosecute the notorious Isiokpo kidnappers.
“We give God the glory for keeping us safe in Rivers State even as we battle this Coronavirus pandemic. Rivers State government is working to keep our people safe, yet some criminals want to make the state insecure. Soon, they will all be apprehended and prosecuted”, Wike said.
