Remain Committed To Service, Woke Tells Nigerians
The Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt, Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke, has called on Nigerians to remain committed to service to humanity as God will bless them at the appropriate time.
Speaking during a special birthday church service in his honour at the First Baptist Church, Rumuakunde, Emohua Local Government Area, yesterday, Woke said God would never allow any worker to go un-rewarded.
He thanked God for His blessings over the years, saying that he would continue to serve God and humanity all the days of his life.
Woke said that anyone privileged to have been blessed by God should always reach out to the less-privileged.
Woke also applauded his long-time friend, Mr Israel Uchendu, for his commitment to improving the lives of the less-privileged.
Also speaking, Mr Israel Uchendu thanked God for Woke’s life, saying that over the years; he has worked with the chief of staff to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He said God has been faithful to them, blessing them every step of the way, and prayed God to continue to protect and bless Woke.
The birthday church service was marked by the cutting of a special cake provided by Mr Israel Uchendu and his family.
Native Air Singers led by Patience Okirika and Catherine Ogbuka of First Baptist Church, Rumuakunde, Emohua, rendered soul-lifting gospel songs in Ikwerre language.
In a sermon, Rev Harrison Igwe Icho urged people to always make God the object of their worship, adding that worshipping God attracts several blessings.
