REC Commends Peaceful Conduct Of Electorate In Osun
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State, Mr Segun Agbaje, has commended the electorate for peaceful conduct during last Saturday’s House of Assembly election.
Agbaje, who monitored the exercise in Ikire and Ayedaade Local Government Areas, described the election as generally peaceful.
He said that the commission put necessary measures in place to ensure hitch-free poll.
Some of the electorate who spoke to newsmen described the process as peaceful and orderly.
At Unit 7, Ward 6, Baptist Government School, Ikire, an electorate, Mr Yusuf Arogundade,said he came to exercise his franchise.
However that there was low turnout of voters.
