Failed Contract: Rangers Want Player Back From Egypt
Champions-in-
waiting Enugu Rangers have given midfielder Emeka Eze a seven-day ultimatum to return to the club after a proposed transfer to an Egyptian club collapsed.
A top official informed Tidesport that Eze has been ordered to return to the team within the next seven days as ‘The Flying Antelopes’ seek a first major trophy in 32 years.
Experienced defensive midfielder Eze was to have joined Egyptian club Al Nasr on loan, but the paper work for the deal failed to come through before the transfer deadline and so the move was called off.
It was believed that his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) was not released by Rangers.
Eze, who was on the final Super Eagles squad to the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil, has made limited appearances for Rangers this season due to injuries and the form of Christian Madu, who has proved to be one of the club’s most consistent performers.
