Rivers Utd Skipper Confident Of League Title
Rivers United captain,
Festus Austin believes his side can give more heralded sides a run for their money and claim unlikely success in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
United are in fine fettle, a solitary point adrift of the leaders, Enugu Rangers with eight matches remaining.
Austin says a number of factors have been responsible for the club’s unlikely push for the top prize in the NPFL this season.
“The secret behind our success has been hard work and discipline.
“Our coach (Stanley Eguma) has also been extremely important as he continues stressing that we need to fight for the league title.
“I want to thank the players because they listen to what the coach says and we are assuring our fans that we will continue to fight until we deliver the league title,” Austin told reporters.
