Nkpogu Bridge, Road ‘ll Ease Traffic Congestion – Banigo
The Deputy Governor
of Rivers State, Dr (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo said the recent inauguration of the Nkpogu bridge and road would improve the traffic situation in the metropolis.
Banigo, in a statement by her press secretary, Paul Damgbor stated that the project would also boost the socio-economic growth of the state, and commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his enthusiasm and commitment in repositioning the state to an enviable standard in line with the new Rivers vision.
She descrbed the completion of the phase one of the road project as a significant landmark, especially as it will ease traffic congestion on the adjourning roads to the industrial hub of the city.
The Deputy Governor also lauded Governor Wike for sustaining the promise of completing all abandoned projects that impact positively on the lives of the people, and appealed to Rivers people to support the government to move the state to an enviable position.
She expressed delight with the construction firm, Monier Construction Company (MCC) for the excellent work done as well as the elders and youth of Nkpogu community for their co-operation over effective realization of the project in record time.
