According to him, the cargo tracking system, wwhich took effect in November, 2015, had created efficiency as well as enhanced cargo clearance at the ports, adding that it had made the jobs of freight forwarders fast.
He noted that the International Cargo Tracking Note had also helped check under-declaration of cargoes and also stopped falsification of documents like manifest of ships, and commended the initiators for a job well done.
Ifi called on all stakeholders to embrace the development for better services as well as quick delivery of cargoes in line with best global practices.
The agent, however, also appealed to the treat to always threat the freight forwards with dignity so that the long existing cordial working relationship would continue.
