The commissioner also urged the leadership of the youth council to appeal to the youth across the state to lay down their arms and join the development train of the government.
According to him, Rivers youth must be seen to be initiators of ideals that will advance the development of the state, and stressed the need for them to toe the path of peace and development in the state.
He also assured the youth of government’s commitment to include them in some programmes such as pilgrimage to Israel and on-going agricultural loan schemes.
Also speaking, the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Rivers State, Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo called for the inclusion of their members in the annual pilgrimage to Israel and Mecca.
