INTELS Reacts To Misconception On Logistics Services Monopoly
INTELS has been involved
in several major projects across the nation’s Ports that have led to the transformation of integrated logistic services best practices in the oil and gas sector of the Nigerian economy.
This assertion was made by the Media and Communication Manager of the company, Mr. Derefaka Kalio in a statement on misconception on monopoly of logistics services with maritime services in the oil and gas industry made available to The Tide in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Kalio said Intels is acclaimed as the pioneer of the integrated one-stop-shop oil services centre that integrates logistics solutions for the execution of deep offshore activities in Nigeria, pointing out that the argument in some quarters that some terminal operators have monopoly of oil and gas cargo, charges exorbitant rates and fees is a deliberate misconception to the activists’ stakeholders and the critical general public.
He opined that, “it might interest some of the activists’ stakeholders who misinformed the public on exorbitant rates and fees to be aware of some enormous inherent cost elements to render efficient and satisfactory services by service providers in the industry.
The INTELS image maker disclosed that the port is constantly developing and adapting to the advanced and sensitive demands of a rapidly developing oil and gas sector in the exploration and production activities in Nigeria, adding that “These operatives could not have been done in a conventional port or better still in a designated general cargo and bulk cargo port.”
Kalio noted that with Intels’ uncommon expertise in handling highly sensitive integrated logistics requirements at the nation’s ports, it is not surprising that it is the foremost logistics company in Nigeria today.
