Ex-Editor, The Tide For Burial, Morrow
All is now set for the final journey of a former Editor of Nigerian Tide, Mr. Nendo Gawa, who died on July 26, last year.
According to a statement issued by the Chief S.S. Gawa family, the remains of the Late Editor will depart Otaije Mortuary at 9.00 am tomorrow, Saturday October 18, 2014 for the S.S. Gawa’s family home at Kegbara – Dere, in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The statement said a day vigil and inter-denominational church service will be held in his honour before interment at noon.
Meanwhile Late Nendo Gawa has been described as a core professional who devoted most part of his later days in the industry to mentoring others.
In a tribute, Director/Editor of The Tide, Mr. Soye Wilson Jamabo said Gawa remains unforgettable to those who had the privilege of working with him, and prayed God to grant his family fortitude to bear the loss.
He was aged 61 years and survived by a wife and three children.
