2013 Women League: Rivers Angels In High Spirits
The Nigeria Football
Federation (NFF), has postponed the 2013 professional Women League ending Super six play-off earlier fixed for October 20, this year.
Chief Coach of Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt, Edwin Okon, disclosed this in an interview with Tidesports, in Port Harcourt last Sunday.
According to him, the shift in date for the competition got to the management of the club last week, saying that, they (management) are yet to know the reason for the change in date.
He however said that the team is in top gear in their preparations for the tournament scheduled to be hosted by Bayelsa State this year.
Also speaking, Captain of the team, Lucky Atu, said that she is optimistic that the players would do well at the 2013 league ending games.
“I know that the players are poised and determined to impress the Rivers people and fans by bringing the right result that would take the club to an enviable height in the country.
Meanwhile, the new date for the competition is yet to be communicated by the NFF to the various club sides.
