Siasia Impressed With Super Eagles
Former Nigeria national team coach Samson Siasia has said that he is impressed with the way the Super Eagles are playing, especially after their recent victories.
The Super Eagles beat Malawi last Saturday to reach the play-offs stage of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers and on Tuesday they hammered Burkina Faso 4-1 in a friendly international to underline their great form.
In a chat with newsmen Siasia said: “Super Eagles players were excellent in their last two games and I was excited with how they handed defeat to Malawi and Burkina Faso.
“Malawi came to Nigeria with a lot of pressure aimed to distract the Eagles, but I was elated with how our Boys responded to them in Calabar,” Siasia said.
Following their good showing Siasia believes that the Super Eagles are on track to qualify for the 2014 showpiece in Brazil.
“I am unperturbed with the final play-offs because the Eagles have the pedigree to face any foes and I’m sure they would make it to the 2014 World Cup,” he added.
