Minister Wants Esans To Embrace FG’s Reform Agenda
The Minister Of Works, Architect Mike Onolememe has urged the Esan ethnic nationality in Edo State to key into the reform agenda of Mr President by contributing their quota towards the development of the country.
Architect Onolememe who said this during the 2013 quarterly dinner of Esan club 30 in Port Harcourt also charged the people to evolve a new strategy of making themselves relevant in the evolving Nigeria.
The minister who was represented by Engr Clifford Odia said that the minister is in love with what the club are doing and urged them to sustain it.
He also urged the club to evolve measures that would unite the Esans both at home and abroad and assured of his support.
In his keynote address, the chairman Esan club 30, High Chief S. O. Iyoha said that the club would continue to work for the improvement of the condition of the people.
High Chief Iyoha said that the present challenges facing Esanland calls for unity among sons and daughters of Esan.
“This celebration of our identity calls for happiness and funfare because we will not only work together from now on, but we will continue to show more faith and belief in our identity, so that our vision for our people can become a reality.
“We have invited you, our brothers and sisters outside Port Harcourt, to remind you of the work we still have in progress back home.
“The continues project of empowering our people on the area of giving scholarships to the indigent but intelligent students and giving affordable healthcare to our very poor brothers and sisters in our villages” he said.
The event was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.
