RSNC Director Bags Award

The Director of Finance and Account (DFA), Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), Mr. Ojo Alfred, has been presented with an award of honour by the Productive Rivers Youth Organisation (PRYO).

Speaking shortly after recieving the award in his office in Port Harcourt, Mr. Alfred cautioned youths in the Niger Delta against further involvement in anti-social activities.

Mr. Alfred who regretted the spate of criminal activities in the region, urged the proactive organisation to take its campaign to the rural areas with a view to discouraging youths from involvement in cult activities.

He assured the organisation that, the Rivers State Newspaper  Corporation would partner with them especially in the area of publicity and commended them for the honour done him. The DFA also pledged to use his good offices to assist and encourage youths that were ready to contribute towards the development of the Niger Delta.

Earlier, the president of the organisation, Comrade Agbo Chimele said that the award was in recognition of the culture of excellence and hardwork exhibited by Mr. Alfred in the civil service.

“Apart from distinguishing yourself in the public service you  have also ensured that, all your programmes are geared toward promoting peace, providing quality service to the people of Rivers State and beyond, especially for the elderly”, he said.

The organization also commended the DFA for the cordial relationship between him and youths in Rivers State, noting that it is something other leaders must emulate”.

“May I also add that from what we have heard of your good works. We have no iota of doubt that, you will continue to build capacity for the people of Rivers State.”
