Cleric Urges Nigerian Leaders To Embrace God
Nigeria will not know peace except leaders across all tiers of government in the country profess God and put Him first in all their dealings.
Chairman of a Port Harcourt-based non-governmental organisation, Divine Dialogue Mission, Apostle Rommel Emenike, who gave this warning while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, said peace has eluded the nation since 2000 because Nigerian leaders at all levels had refused to recognise the place of God and His Messenger in their bid to deliver democracy dividends to Nigerians.
The ardent member of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, attributed the problems of Niger Delta militancy, kidnappings, corruption, Boko Haram, and insecurity in the land, among others, to the blind attachment of Nigerian political leadership to ungodly practices, greed, injustice and wanton abuse of power instead of biblical teachings and principles.
He said that unless they resolve to serve with humility and respect for God’s declared principles as contained in the Holy Bible, Nigerian leaders would continue to fashion utopian programmes and policies, which he noted, may never impact positively on the people and address the nation’s myriads of challenges.
Apostle Emenike also challenged religious leaders across the isles in the country to embrace the true God, and abandon what he called blasphemy, burning of incense and candles, sorcery, secret cult and other fetish practices on the Altar of Salvation, or face God’s wrath.
He cautioned that any church leader who refuses to do away with evil practices and confess his wrongdoings on the Altar of God before August 7, will have himself to blame, because according to him, the remaining five months of the year will be difficult for mankind.
Emenike claimed that his spiritual leader was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, and therefore, the Son of God on earth, and alleged that God had chosen Nigeria as the melting pot of the twelve tribes of Israel.
