RSNC To Partner Health Providers On Information

The Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, says it will partner the National Association of Healthcare Providers (Rivers State chapter) on information dissemination in a bid to properly educate the public on the importance of healthcare system.

The General Manager, RSNC, Mr Celestine Ogolo, said this on Wedneday when the association paid a courtesy visit to him at his office in Port Harcourt.

Ogolo who informed his guests that The Tide remains the leading state owned newspaper in the country, said the corporation would do its best to ensure that the campaign was taken to all nooks and crannies of the state.

Describing health as wealth, he called on the association to also partner the corporation on printing and other jobs, adding that the place was realiable and open to them.

Also speaking, the leader of the delegation, as well as the chairman of the association, Dr Anuforo, hinted that he was at The Tide office to among other things, inform about the existence of the body.

Anuforo, explained that part of his aim was to also plead with media houses on the need to inform the public about the availability and accessibly of the healthcare delivery system in the state.

He further announced that the state government was currently running a free medical scheme, adding that the available equipment provided by the government for healthcare services should be accessed.

The health boss, while calling on the people to pay more attention to their health, lauded the state government over its zeal to bring a positive turn around in the health sector.

Meanwhile, the deputy chairman of the group, Dr Edet Essien, praised The Tide, stressing that the health sector might not do better unless the media came to its aid.
