Man, 25, Docked For Receiving Stolen Truck
A 25-year-old man, Isa Iliya, has appeared before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court for allegedly receiving a stolen truck.
The prosecutor, Insp. Emmanuel Ajayi, told the court that Iliya received a trailer truck with registration number XQ479EPE belonging to one Mr Arinze Ifeka.
He said that the accused knew that the truck, valued at N300,000, was stolen.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Sections 516 and 427 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Kemi Doja-Ojo granted the accused N100,000 bail, with two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the case till Jan. 12, 2012.
