“I’m deeply honoured to be here, I am really proud of the job with the Eagles, and I am sure we can do great things with the team,” he said.
Andersson is on the employ of the technical adviser in his five-month contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The former Swedish international, who turns 60 today said he looked forward to a successful stint with the Super Eagles under Lagerback.
“I have known Lagerback for a long time, and we have been working together for seven years. I am sure we will do well with the Eagles,” he said.
On his career, Andersson said he had a 17-year playing career with Swedish clubs Malmo FF and Djurgardens IF and represented the country at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina.
