NFF’s Technical Committee Should Have Periodic Meetings – Former Member
Former member of the Nigeria Football Federation Technical and Development Committee, Barrister Austel Elumelu, has stated that the technical committee should have periodic meetings with national team coaches where they have a harmonious working relationship amidst other football issues.
Speaking in a chat with Tidesports source, Elumelu said the technical committee shouldn’t be redundant as football issues lie on the table of the technical and development committee who formulate football policies.
“What we use to do is that periodically we have meetings and we always insisted that the coach should front-load his program. We go through it which includes the selection of players, we go through the profile of the players
Where you bring in a player at times we found out that there were some players who had not even kicked the ball for his club only training we used to tell the coaches that sorry such players are not good for us, we don’t force him but lay it bare.”
